As promised..but ill make it picture laden instead.Its already 3am in the morn n Im so super-tired

Our flight is at 7.40am. So we are expected to check in around 6.40 am the latest. 5am dah up and about to mandi n stuff..Uncle Ravin (ibu's driver) picked us up. Really,we were still tired and eyes as mostly still shut tight.

Kubur batu is the graveyard for royalties of the Batak people. The remains are kept in the stone carvings. They are NOT buried.

The walkway has many small2 shops. Variety f items. Bargain well and you'll come back a happy person. No need to wait till pasar in Medan to buy cz here can b affordable if you are persistent. Try putting half price (from their stated) as ur offer and work on it.Also,to get to Medan's Pasar Ikan (which sells evrything..not only ikan) is very cumbersome as it gets "macet" (traffic jam) like at ALL times.

Various Materials sold here. Im not sure what kinda fabric they are..didnt remmber to touch em.

Afterwards we went back. So flat out. Just had a bath and slept. The day was good so far...day two coming up..so,tunggu ya! *but the net is super duper slow (celcom broadband) i doubt i can fin my travel n living channel report ni..grr~*

First off, I'd like to announce that I am back..and that I'm really sorry i will not be able to blog these few days due to paediatric posting. It is quite a burden actually..n eventho its my 1st day..im HATING it..yes,i do. Not cz im judgemental but really paeds is NEVER my cup of tea.

So,yes..itll b a while..on CNY holidays ill do the updating okay

Also i hutang liputan majlis perkahwinan Dahlia Nadira (my mom's fren's daughter)..dan ya,weddingnya di buat dgn gah nya.

And I also plan to write my December trip to Sungkai..*nice place* and also a review on a Chinese Muslim Seafood restaurant in Melaka under the "Asian Food Channel" label..

Ok,i was at Melaka Sentral nk carik tix bus nak balik frm LCCT to Melaka for this monday nite. Sumpah i went off 10 min je kot.. Selama 2 taun duk kat Melaka n g Melaka Sentral, park la sejam suku pon kat luar tu tadak org kesah..tapi hari ini...

HOI!! tau la nk raya cina. Apesal ko nk carik duit cara haram? Ko nmpak aku semeter away je from the car, ko kene tulis cepat2 just to hand me the d*mn compund!! mcm B*bi!

Beware ye,people..asal masuk raya cina ke,raya haji ke,thaispusam ke...mesti diorg nk quick bucks..otherwise suma duk goyang kaki kat kdai kopi..*n im NOT joking ye* . Harini je I nmpak 2 roadblock..kat mane tau? kat PERINGGIT! Hello..dat is like the unlikeliest place kot! So taman perumahan n kampung2 berpakcik-makcik and ber-tok nenek!

Psycopath benar..part i was so close to the car he can smell my deodarant tu i tak tahan! Eiii~!!! GEram rase cm nk cabut je kepala dier tadi..

I went buat2 tanye tempat n hw the compound works..15 min gak la i tahan him..padan muke ko 5 kereta terlepas! *i can see his face so gelisah nk kjar all the terlepas cars..*

Im In Awe

As usual in the mornings I spent my time in Klinik Kesihatan Ujong Pasir.And today was a bit diffrent. We are usually attended by patients who are having minor alilments such as cough,cold,fever,diarrhea..or the occasional follow up for the diabetic and hypertensive patients..

We saw the card,Albert Ong Guan Bak..okay,mayb just another patient with diabetes and hypertension follow up..

This uncle,however..has a list of diseases that are so long standing and his conditions made him get transported to one department to another.He has,in summary:
1) Psoarisis--> Derm
2) Psoriatic Arthritis--> Derm/Ortho
3) Hypertension--> Med
4) Stroke 2X--> Med + neurology
5) CP angle tumor--> Neurosurgery
6) Renal Glycosuria--> Med+ Urology
7) Glaucoma--> Ophthal
8) Depression--> Psy
9) Drug-induced hearing-loss--> ENT
10) Right inguinal Hernia--> Surgery
11) Slow AF with frequent extrasystoles--> Med+ Cardio

And the best thing is that he is very very strong about living his life and try not to regret being a sick person. His wife is one of the toughest *minded* person i've ever seen since these all has slowly been progressing since 40 years ago.He is currently 71 years old.

He thought us well.He thought us his diseases..and he thought us about being good doctors. He also thought us life lessons we can never study in books.

To him,to his wife and to my dearest lecturer Dato' Dr Bala I dedicate this post.Cheers~

Pomander Balls DIY

Bila masa sudah banyak,of course people will find time to kill it *sian masa~*

And in my case,sebagai seorang yang sudahla tak siap homework,study pon tak kemana hasil menjadi kutu bambu *heh,betulkah expression ini?*..I've decided to try on some so cute i have been day-dreaming about it for days!

Apakah itu Pomender Balls...*tidak,tidak..ianya bukan sejenis sukan dimana orang berlumba dengan memasuki seketul bola yg super-besar dan berlari di dalam agar boleh bergolek2 dan anda menang nombor satu,tidak*--> ini adalah jenaka dalaman..jika tak faham,its okay..tak luaknya nasik goreng anda *apekah?*

Anyway,I so love this decor item i just had to try making it.there are a couple of materials in which you can make your pomander balls. Ada guna fresh flowers,ada yang pakai artificial flowers and ada yg kedekut ber-budget rendah macam saya pulak akan gunakan crepe paper as an alternative.

Here I'm gonna show you step by step how to make a decorative pomander ball...you can choose to make a smaller one to fit the dainty hands of your flower girls to carry..*no more basket full of flowers nw..dah outta date*


okeh..these are what you will be needing..
1) 5 inch size styrofoam ball (RM 5.00 at my place..Nilai 3 cn get down to RM 3.00 je)
2) Wires just the slim kind would do (mine is RM 1.80..these can make a generous amount of pomanders)
3) Crepe paper with the color of your choice (my pink one are the thicker ones (RM1.00/piece--> can make 2Flowers), the thinner ones are so much cheaper and looks just as good (RM 0.50/piece--> makes 3 flowers!)
4) Ribbons (sizes of ur choice)
5) Glue gun (not in pic)
6) Jarum peniti (yg org pakai kat tudung nye style tu)

Fold like u are folding a fan (around 7-8 folds)

And pintal the wire together as such

Flip the petals one by one as shown above

Place the flower as above-->pacak into the polystyrene ball tu


U can either put it on a stand --> ignore kerepek pisang..just for illustration purposes tak jmpe bekas lain

Or add in ribbons so dat it can be hanged like in the 1st pic..

I knw my 1st try does not look as good as the ones i saw on the net but basically its the same way of doing it..mayb diffrent hands have diffrent talents..lol

Ouh,btw..i used 12 flowers per 5 inch ball

OCP..itu perlukah?

Sebelum saya terlupa..eloklah kiranya saya menulis entry ini serta -merta tanpa berlengah..

Kepada anda yang kurang tau..apakah itu OCP? Expansion of the 3 letters would be the Oral Contraceptive Pill (a.k.a Pil Perancang). Nw,apakah yang membuatkan saya terpanggil untuk menceritakan hal pil ini pulak?

Macam ni...later (in about ayear from now), i will be a wife and also a houseman (insya-Allah kalau takde aral melintang). Jadi sebagai seorang yang sudah berumah tangga, sudah tentulah sexual activities become an intergral part of your daily living process,kan? Bagi saya adalah penipu besarla jika org yg dah kawen cakap "eh,tak kesah pon..saya hepi je tak dapat sex"..samada org ini terlampau sibuk sampai tak sempat makan dan tidur,ada masalah mental ataupun mengalami masalah libido yg abnormally low.

Jadi,it brings me to my topic...

As you know being a houseman itu amatlah sibuk sampaikan masa untuk anda mandi da memakai eyeliner pon ter-compromise..apakan lagi bershopping sakan dan pergi ke gym *okay terkeluar tajuk*..i mean that bayangkan masa untuk diri sendiri pon kena cari (bak menggali lubang cacing),nk cari masa menjaga seorang insan lain yang cukuplah fragile..(a.k.a baby la)

Maka dengan itu saya sedang memikirkan cara utk mengelakkan diri pregnant semasa housemanship dan juga tidak compromise sex-life kami..da teringat pula kata-kata Dr Som "the best choice for contraception in a newly married couple is the OCP as it has the least side effects,very efficacious and also the fertility after stopping the pill is not compromised".Lalu tercetuslah idea nak berkomunikasi dgn staff nurse di Klinik Ibu dan Anak di Ujong Pasir pagi tadi..


Dipendekkan cerita, staff nurse Salbiah yang amatla sweet dan helpful telah menelepon sister (kira ketua nurse la) di Pusat Perancangan Keluarga Negeri Melaka for further consultation...kata sister:

Pada umur saya 24 tahun yang masih belum berkahwin dan mengandung pun,adalah dinasihatkan mengambil pil tersebut sebulan sebelum first encounter (eg: kawen bulan 11 kene mula amik pill bulan 10) untuk mendapatkan hasil terbaik. Makan pil ni kena disiplin. Kalau terlepas2 takde la boleh dapat 99.9% efficacy spt yang dijanjikan.Eventhough kalau kita ikut ayat sebijik textbook kata fertility akan bounce back,menurut pengalaman sister tu,tak semua semudah itu. Ada couple yang lpas tu struggle bertahun nak try for a baby sampai kering ikhtiar. And anybody is at a risk.

So,sister cadangkan saya amik pil itu selama 6 bulan.Lepas itu sambung dgn condom je. Textbook kata condom is only 89.9% reliable.Tapi sister kata kalau pakai dgn cara yang betul boleh dapat result yg excellent. *Lain hari saya post cara betul memakai condom,ya*.Dan lagipun,bukannya stop makan pil trus ~zzup~ pregnant..it takes like 3-6 months for the ovaries to came out of the hormonal confusion. Kira kalau we do the maths,makan 6 bulan plus minus u dapat 9-12 months period of infertility la..i guess that works well for me.

Pil as i said memang kena disiplin cz kena makan sehari sebijik. And people tend to terlupa..



other alternatives include the ever popular condoms



depot progestrone injections,painful but lasts a month to 3 months with the efficacy dropping from 1st month onwards.mahal a bit



norplant/implant of progestrone rods (now the have only one rod is enough..no need like below) and it can last you upto 2 years...most expensive choice.very safe,can be implanted in the most forgetful person and its gonna work well.




So,mayb i should talk to my sweetheart sometime soon about this...*yikes* and also start berkawan-kawan dgn staff nurse so that boleh dpt OCP (free!) kat klinik kerajaan tanpa memerlukan surat nikah dulu cz nak mula makan sebulan b4 the nikah..hurm..nak target sape kat Klinik Kesihatan Peringgit (the nearest to me now) ni?

ok..lepas kahwin sure kite tak mau papa kedana sehingga terpaksa tinggal dlm gua dan berlauk pasir,kan? Jadi,let's see perancangan kewangan SELEPAS kahwin..(again,courtesy of -www.biliksebelah.wordpress.com-)

Income dan Outcome sa-orang kakitangan kerajaan lepas graduate (degree MBBS):

Total Gaji = RM3800.00 (termasuk elaun)

Duit Bayar Kereta = RM500.00 pakai keta yang sedia ada sudah

Duit Minyak Kereta = RM200.00 (agak-agak umah dlm 2km je pegi balik frm hospital bole la kot)

Duit Maintain Kereta= RM 100.00 (estimate la)

Duit Belanja Makan = RM400.00 (per person ni tau..mana tau skali skala nak makan chili's ke...sushi king ke...)

Duit Rumah = tumpang dulu la rumah mak ayah quarters hospital bape ye? kite anggap la RM350 sebulan termasuk bill

Duit Top Up = RM30.00

Bill Telepon= RM 70.00 (dun ask..ini da agak stable number ni since 5 bulan lpas)

Duit Poket = RM400.00

Bagi Mak Ayah = RM200.00 Tolong bayar Bil-bil di Rumah Parents= RM 500.00 (almaklum aircon n umah ade 7 bilik..haru betul~)

Upah Kadi & Saksi = RM150.00 --> kadi abah sendiri so save disitu (RM150 pon kemut)

Duit Hantaran = RM6000.00--> mine make it RM12,000

Dulang2 Hantaran = RM2000.00 --> termasuk brg hantaran is RM5,000 budget kami

Kad Kawin = RM500.00--> RM1.50 X 1000= RM 1,500..erk~

Kenduri Makan = RM10000.00 (RM10 x 1000 orang)-->man nk 1500 org..his side=RM 15,000

Khemah, Meja, Kerusi = RM1500 (RM300 x 5)--> takdak khemah

Bag Goodies = RM2000.00--> 1500 X RM2= RM 3,000

Pelamin, Katil = RM3000.00 -->RM 500 jadi la..katil da ada

Dewan..oh..Dewan..

My mom called tadi and said " I booked the dewan already" (dimanakah? biarla rahsia dulu)..anyway, i asked,so bapa harga? n she went RM3,000.00...lalu daku tersedak..erk~ bukan budget kite dlm RM 1,000 je ke?

Lalu sepantas kilat I pegi check webbbies on all these Halls yg sama waktu dengannya di tempat yg agak berdekat-dekatan...and I found out that memang sume hall dalam RM 2,500 to RM 8,000 per 5 hour event harga standard!! WTF!! Astragfirullah!! (nak jadi bini n mak orang kene jaga bahasa)

Most halls u WAJIB amik their cateres in which makan buffet paling murah sekepala is RM 30++ kalau di-net kan will be like RM 42...RM 42 X 2000= RM 84,000..TIDAKKKKKK (lambat compute dlm otak).Tapi this one normally campur PA sistem (apa la sgt RM 350-RM500), decor dewan yang kononnya termantap (Plus minus if amik orang luar like RM 3,000-5,000),pelamin hebat (ni depends la u nk artificial or fresh and brapa panel bagai kat planner luar ) and also kek 3 tingkat yang sebenarnya dummy cake je except one slice for pura-pura potong cake..

Still,ni suda melampau!! Belum kira hantaran berdulang-dulang,nikah nye cost and jamuan, baju, photographer, videographer, card kawin, bilik pengantin, wedding favors, makeup, honeymoon etc (tak larat da nak list down..makin tinggi blood pressure I)

So now apepun my ciri-ciri dewan idaman...

1) Free on 27th nov 2010
2) Cukup besar to accomodate 500 people at one time
3) Ada aircon (tak sanggup makeup wat roller coaster atas muka, sudahla I org kuat nangis..mascara lari suda cukup havoc,okaay!)
4) Ada bilik to get ready bagai (and of course for solat)
5) Ample parking lots...mau beribu-ribu lemon...n ohya,free. TAK SUKE bayar parking!
6) Alatan-alatan yang berfungsi (takmo jadi macam Nacha's wedding--> refer post lama)
7) Toilet yang bersih dan segar
8) Tak kedekut waktu..kalo 5 jam tu bagi 5 jam 5 minit pon takmo mmg boleh jalan!
9) Senang orang ramai nak get to (jalan tak perlu la mcm ular kena ketuk) and tak terkenal traffic jams
10) Above all..i mesti la nk dewan tu cantik..(tapi again itu bergantung kpd kehebatan decor juga..haish...wahai Khareyan -www.khareyan.com-..napekah anda begitu out of my budget?)

Sapa boleh teka ni kat mana i belanja biskut (dewan pilihan my mom and dad)
