Sanding Review Series: Wedding Consultant

My wedding provider was the Davency Wedding Workshop. Masa tu (Dec 2009) me & Luqman pegi la PWTC nye Pameran Pengantin & then beberapa lagi pamerans before deciding on it. Masa tu kami dua belom keje lg so nk kawen disponsor parents berpada-pada la,kan? uhuhu.

We took the Pakej Dewan costing us RM 4988 inclusive of :

-Pelamin 5 panel (if nak 7 panel kne tambah fulus sket)

-Aksesori pelamin such as kipas, alatan merenjis,bantal tgn pelamin 

-3 pilihan baju: 

I choose the combi of pink & grey for my Sanding. Inclusive of kasut & accessories but sumpah i tak suka kasut dier cz dah la empunya bdn ni kaki gajah (size 8/9 @ 40/41 depending on design), & diorg nye design sume jnis half shoe 2 inch heels.. boring la for me.

Also hand bouquet disediakan but dgn hebatnye my maid-of-honor sister tertinggal my white lilies (bole pilih bunga sndri) dalam peti sejuk kat umah!!! Stress gile mase tuh. seb baik my wedding coordinator, Aunty Halimah was fast to cilok some flowers yang buat decor tangga jadikkan bunga tgn. haha.

Actually the baju is from 2 diffrent sets but combined em cz again, my size nih susah nk carik. Nak kata slim, tak slim, da dpt lebar yg seswai tetbel senteng la pulak. Mau satu studio i tried on baru la ade yang berkenan. Hoho. 

One thing dat is nice about this studio is dat they allowed us to try & try & try.. tanpa byk mulut . huhu sgt sooka!

As for outdoors lak, we choose a modern pair & another songket pair. Inclusive of accessories.I love love this dress cz the intricate design n also the trimming effect (ewah~) . The head gears tu pon memula (for the dress)  Luqman cukup la tak suka..but i kept to my stand mau jugak. Tak nyesal sesaat pon. huhu. I loved it!

Memandangkan outdoor nih diambil 2 hari lpas sanding, so kitorg mls la nk hire MUA lagi (sbb duit pon tight) makanye kitorg dress up ourselves. Make up sume sndri. huhu. 

Luqman lpas sanding pon da pandai ikat sampin ala2 bunga tu. Jimat kami.. hehe

Pilihan Baju ade Lace, Songket, Gown & Costumes

however if korang ade nk wat baju ikut size & design sndri, bole bole.. sila tambah RM 1500 & ur dream baju will be done by their talented designers. Tapi baju tuh diorg simpan le.

- Photography & albums. 

Photography bundled for nikah & sanding. They have many photographers attached to the wedding workshop. I chose Shidi. He is a bit shy. No tepon pon takde bagi. Tapi pepun korang leh ask for portfolios.

plus 100 keping 4R of ur choice.

Make up for Nikah & Sanding. Bole pilih ur own MUA based on their portfoilio provided they r free & trial makeup ade additional charge at RM 100.

Overall services diorg memuaskan. Nk kate tiptop takde la.. bole bagi 7.5-8/10 in terms of services & barang2 sume . If pandai pilih & u r an early bird, Insya-Allah akn dpt yang baik.I was happy with mine.

Last I checked w Mr Lee (Oct 2011), harga pakej dewan da naik jadik RM 5888.00

Sanding Review Series: Door Gift

Remember this post? Well, ini la hasil akhir nye. We managed to make like 3000+ of these. & guess wat. walaupon dijaga dgn baik oleh penjaga pintu kami, abes okay..abes! Menaning org yg dtg tu is about estimated! Alhamdulillah my majlis was meriah.

Paperbag itu mmg cheap & chic (hoho perahsan la pulok) tapi benar bab cheap itu. Sekeping packaging all inclusive i spent about 20 sen.

Apa pulak isi dalamnye?

Jeng jeng jeng ...(suspen tak?)

Sila lihat apa yang adik hepi sy pegang itu. tak nmpak? Ok anyway, it was marshmallows, beware most marshmallows tak halal tau. Kitorg ensure ones frm her are halal. We bought the triangle plastic tu & repacked all the marshies yg beli bulk berkilo kilo itu ( we bought like 60 kg kot ) & repackaging em took us like 2 months!

 Tapi takpe, marshmallows nye expiry date biasanya setaun dua. kirenya kalo start repackaging frm 6 bulan pon bole la. just make sure kedap udara otherwise nnt dier mengecut.

Review Series: Nikah & Sanding Makeup

I totally love my makeup! Like really!

Kak Linda was all understanding & masa test makeup pon da bole bncang ngn dier ape yg kite nk actually. So its nice la. Katekan ade brides yg tamau cukur kening, just gtau Kak Linda & she won't usik the brows but she will try to draw it out for it to look georgeous! Best kan?

She also did my henna but i wouldn't recommend her on henna (during my time a year back- tatau la kalo over the year she had more practice & has polished her skills, kan).

Makeup for Sanding vogue lebih sket. & suke the fact she managed to combine well the pinks & grays without making me look like a drag. haha

Sanding Review Series : My Wedding Baker

After a super duper long silence, im back. My lappie died on me sometime back & I'm unable to find time to get a new one. Tambah lak ngan kerja mmg la tak lekang. Aih..

My cake was a 4 tiered cake. In total it was about 15 kg worth. I designed the cake myself & sat down bincang ngn my baker regarding the details. Working with her was really a breeze. 

The cake turned out exactly the way i imagined it to be! I cant describe hw happy i was masa tu. Mcm menang loteri, weh!

Just look at it! Imagine my joy! huhu..

Lowermost tier upwards: Red velvet cake w cream cheese filling, vanilla, orange zest & chocolate all of them w buttercream filling covered with fondant.

The fondant , i can still remember smelled faintly of french vanilla beans, yum!

Thing is, we only managed to taste the bulat bulat fondant yg kaler kleabu tuh. Afterwards the cake was whisked away as per our request so as to serve the guets with it. Nyesal sungguh tak mintak dier save some :(

Her cakes are generally priced at RM 40- 60 per kilo depending on flvours & addition are to b made on intricate (read: susah) workmanship.

Besides cakes, she bakes a variety of buns & cookies too. Its nice to pop in her cafe for a visit since it has that French Cottage aura. huhu.

Sanding Review Series : Dress and Assesories

I love love my dress and my hubby's baju dat day...

for those wondering, the color mula2 nk amik gray je.. and nk wat pelamin pink and white to match the theme. tapi pastu baju gray only takdak size cz kami menyewa je tak mampu nak buat. also if buat mmg i dun thk ill b wearing it again. so~ sewa la yang terbaik buat kami.

what we did was we gabung 2 sets baju lelain.. actually dlm set gray tu matching ngn outer coat white but i pilih the pink one, in which dier actually ade pink bustier and skirt.. and tada!

Baju kitorg pakai ni comfy, well tailored tapi..sila JANGAN beli/sewa/tempah kain potongan duyung kalo ade nk naik turun tangga cz i really almost trip onto my face the 1st stairstep i took..saaaaaangat berhati2. phew..seb bek tade jd pepe yg menyegankan..

 

The tudung i beli kat Jln masjid india. Bought the kosong ones and then pegi kedai yang ade service iron on diamante to customise to my needs. The pink ones are swarovski crystals. yg tu kne mahal sket (50sen per bijik).

Honestly my tudung tak jejak Rm 50 pon. hee...and im really happy the way it turned up to be.

Also i choose to NOT wear tiara cz i dun wanna look taller thn Luqman cz we are of the same height. Thus this flat headpiece is JUST PERFECT. cumenye kne letak 10 jarum peniti atas kepala je la. 

Kasut ni nye cerita bole jmpe kat cni.. 

Alhamdulillah my choice was a real good one. Berdiri berjln all day sgt selesa. tak terasa LANGSUNG sakit kaki. cushioning dier superb. 

paling penting the shoes made me feel so like a princess..specifically Cindarella cz the heels look like glass!

I love my Shoes.. sgt suka

P/s: kepada yang nak tau pasal my package baju ni.. nantikan post seterusnye! lom ade masa nk tulis bebyk lagi. Kerja isnin-ahad ye.. so,pls bear w me n b reminded dat i miss all of u =[

Sanding Review Series : Kereta Pengantin

Hehe..bagi yang dah tgk tu akan tau la kan..

We borrowed this baby from my mom and dad's dear friend Dr Yusof of UNITEN. He is a true car-lover. He has loadfulls of cars and this type of car je ade 3 jnis. lol~

Part paling best he maintains these cars himself !

Anywho..this is the car b4 we dressed him up

Panther 2.8L top speed 140 miles/h weh~ and it is and AUTOMATIC car!

we dun feel like dressing him up dat much but a lil would do.. and..

notice the bag kat blakang keta tu (knnnye trus g honeymoon la..) -FYI kami lom sempat honeymoon ye

really really LOVE our wedding car! hehe

Sanding Review Series : Teaser

I knw its been a while and some of u peeps da tgk pon my sanding nye review from Elya , Sk, Zaila and also Kina. Other bloggers dat were around includes Ann, Acik,, Zara, Jaja and Nasyrah (tapi mereka tade buat review.hee~)

Sorry i was busy for my Tandang and also busy learning to b a wifey.. hehe

Since pics from OP mmg lom dpt sbb gtl nk wat post-wedding session the next 2 days la apa la... diorg pon tak smpat nk edit.. so mane yg ade dulu la eh.. hee~

I had fun on my sanding day. Memule da nk nangis sbb tertinggal my hand bouquet which are made from fresh white lilies and pink roses dlm fridge kat rumah. My sis the MOH knew abt it cz she was the one ltak dlm peti but pagi tu kabut sbb bgn lewat (mlm pas nikah tu g dewan for rehearsal so tdo lmbat) and satu umah kabut hell! like HELL...

Pastu nk nangis lg sbb keta pengantin tak sampai tepat masa cz tayar terpancit and the Sg Besi nye tol jammed up lak so we had to berarak mcm bese je.. kire gimmick tak menjadi la..

Tapi my Pre-wed OP Shafeeq cheered me up (eventho he was NOT on duty hari tu.. he came as a fren =] how sweet )  and made me feel so much better...  (n Luqman's cousin-in-law, Abg Shaiful is a good motivational talker too) 

Point here is dat...No matter hw much prob yg dtg hari tu. be it dilanda banjir sampai lutut pon, senyum je... cz it is ur day and that the pics taken will b seen again n again sampai bila2. So put ur best smile forward. ok..

Anywho~ here goes nothing!

Sanding Review Series : Invitation Card

These were the cards for my sanding. More pics than words this time. 

Card 1

Tempah at Seri Kreatif. Only needed 150 pcs of these as they are the English ver for my dearest lecturers whom mostly are from India. 

Seri kreatif i can safely say is CHEAP, fast and frenly. 2 thumbs up. Mine was the above Apple Burger Restaurant nye branch. Look for Nora. She's really quirky and fun to talk to.

Card was size of A5 paper dibahagi dua and they have glossy finishing.I figured it was really cute *lol perasan!* and me love the full color map!

And these are the real things! I was a happy customer. Nuff said =]

Card 2

Card ni asalnye takde dlm planning pon tapi dah my dad ter-rambang mata...takpe la. Made in Bandung. Siyesly harga HALF price from msia...BUT.. 500 keping=40 kg, agak sakit jiwa la nk hangkut sume balik. Mmg havoc.

Udah tu card ni bincang artwork purely online je. So agak perit disitu. Last skali i dload free trial CorelDraw program and i edit sendri then bile setel sume suh dier print je.. total from bncang till production (cz totally own design) takes about 10 days.

and the finished product. I was super-happy with the results eventho ade la hitches sket2. Me likes the foiling/hotstamping they did on the two "orang toilet"!

Card 3

This was the original card from this entry tapi since i lupa nk save dlm PNG file.. diorg terpaksa re-do the whole artwork. So ade la lain sket from asal. esp the colors. but i thk it turned out well and i pon takde masa nk jadik bridezilla cz i was in the middle of my exams pon.

Made them here. Truely recommended. Fiza layan u terbaik!

yg ni siap bagi sampul bercetak skali ngn package yg sgt la affordable and best! Fiza is really attentive to ur needs. Card pon siap masa yang di janji. In my case mmg i bagi upto a month. Cz i wasnt in a rush.
