Anyway, the picture was taken reverse macro using my kit lens on a red background. Unsatisfactory results but dat was the best i was able to take..*shrugs*

This is platinum coated Rhodium alloy..and diamonds of course..nak tgk yg penuh kena la tggu lagi 6 bulan..hiks~!

E-Day Review Series: The Ring

Posted by kay kamal at 2:40 AM 2 comments

We bought this ring in Wah Chan Sunway Pyramid after our date in Sunway Lagoon.Mulanye just nak survey2 je.. in the ned ter-jatuh hati so here it is! Beli like 4 months prior to the E-day.Luqman kept the ring so dat i cannot leak its pic out.. he knows im bad at keeping secrets.hehe.

Wah Chan Sunway is recommended. The salesperson Nicholas tu very friendly and sangat la sanggup melayan kerenah sang-B2B ni mencuba hampir SEMUA cincin yang berkenan di mata (like 20 rings kot!) sampaikan kene marah ngn Luqman sbb dier lapo tak makan lagi duk tersekat di kedai emas.

Masa tu pegi merata gak survey, Diamond Platinum, Diamond boutique, My Diamond, Poh Kong, Tomei... sumenye either takle afford or tak minat design..mana tau kbetulan si Wah Chan ni ada the 70%+20% year end sale kinda thingy tu. and this ring is under its special range! Ada sebentuk je in each branch! Ouh maka kami rembat after bertapak disana melebihi sejam rethinking it.

Here are some Close-ups

7 brilliant cut totalling 0.5 ct in the middle, forming a flower. Tak tau la ape color, clarity so-so. Not GIA certified..that would only double its price.

The sidestones are 16 small diamonds (8 on each side) which are again brilliant cut. I remmbered cumulative size was like 0.3ct. I tak bape suke solitaire yang takde sidestones or engravings at the sides..too empty for my liking

And this is how it looks on me. I heart!

Nice kan? *kay mmg pandai masuk bakul pastu angkat sendiri..berat tau tak?*

\

Paired w the merisik ring..*my hand kembang again..tx to the IV drip i had during last year's dental surgery..arrghh~!*

My Dream Wedding Band

Posted by kay kamal at 1:27 AM 4 comments
Okay the other day i finished talking about choices sesuai ngn Luqman..now ill talk about mine. Whoever that knows me woule know that i like expensive looking things (bace elok2 okay..LOOKING..tak mesti expensive..my mom says its all about the person's way of carrying it). Takde gune, sumpah takde gune kalau u pakai Jimmy Choos tapi jalan bersepah, rambut tak sikat and muke cam tak mandi kan? Ok Kay,sila jgn lari tajuk again.

Okay, so lets get to the piccies shall we?

This may be a lil too thick on the fingers though.
I have never yet seen this design in Malaysia. Anybody has?

I found this. But upon trying it looks more indah khabar dari rupa. So i decided to omit this one out. Sorry, ring number 3.

Yang ni i saw in a place i will nt tell...and i seem to be able to afford it.. We'll see

This design I believe I came across at My Diamonds but since it was fully platinum..alamak the poket also sudah bocor just by looking at it!
This was similar to ring number 3's case.. so, im sorry.. u are eliminated too

Yang double stranded camni actually not in trend anymore. So, tunggu masa la to have it back in the market. I guess it means goodbye.

This one,Im keeping the best for last! My favourite! So dainty and delicate yet promote such a status symbol. This can really make me the most royal-ly bride more than i can imagine! But this design so far I only see them online selling at like USD 12,000!! And that is white gold tau, not platinum. So, yes, goodbye to royal me~

In order to find the right ring, its the heart that counts. My engagement ring was decided that way. I tried like 30 rings at Tomei but end up buying it jugak. Eventhough there are others (more and less expensive ones) its just my heart falls to it. Its not a GIA certified diamond, nor it is the most beautiful. But to me, it was the one that catches my eye..and grabbed my heart.

So, B2B make sure you are there to choose jugak. Cz something that may look good on someone else may just look a tad bit weird on you. Trust me.

Feel free to share your thoughts on your dream wedding ring,ya!

His Wedding Band Choices

Posted by kay kamal at 3:07 PM 6 comments

Since my darling Luqman is particularly hard to please when it comes to buying him things..i guess its best for him to choose it himself. However, I came across these beautiful designs that i think he might like. He is the type of person who like simple yet complicated things that doesnt have the "trying-to-hard" look yet has very intricate details.

One more thing that stands in the middle of the way is the fact that we dun have cash to splurge on.So buying him a titanium or platinum ring is waaay outta the league. They are many silver ones but  i think they fade too fast. In no time the lustre and sparkle is lost.

In the jewelry market that caters to the general population, most couple wedding bands are made of white gold which again is a problem for us since Muslim men are not allowed to wear jewelry made of Gold.

Just in case some of you are wondering, white gold is still gold. The atomic content is Aurum and the atomic number is 79.So what makes white gold so controversial? is it a different type of gold? Is it wearable for Muslim Men? They are actually gold alloys that look white rather than yellow. The white colour is achieved by careful choice of the alloying metals, which bleach the deep yellow of pure gold. Thus in the end, it is still gold. You have to remember that when you wear white gold, in time it will turn to yellow gold (ini adalah pengalaman peribadi saya).

Platinum itu apa pulak? It is an element with atomic number 78 and the chemical symbol is Pt. A dense, ductile, precious, gray-white transition metal, platinum is resistant to corrosion and occurs in some nickel and copper ores along with some native deposits. Platinum is used in jewelry, laboratory equipment, electrical contacts and electrodes, platinum resistance thermometers, dentistry equipment, and catalytic converters.

In conclusion, platinum are Halal to be worn by Muslim men..so, to whoever that has some extra bucks to spare..platinum is a much better choice compared to silver as the beuty and shine lasts longer. It is also less resistant to scratch so caring it is less painful.

So,i guess ill start my tedious journey in searching him the perfect ring..wish me luck!
